Project Highlight: Elegant Acrylic Kitchen Design for Miss Neelam Jain at DLF Garden City, Gurgaon



At Doodle Design - The Home Studio, we are thrilled to share an exclusive glimpse into one of our latest turnkey interior projects — a beautifully curated modern kitchen for our esteemed clients Miss Neelam Jain and Mr. Shalinder Jain, located at DLF Garden City, Sector 91, Gurgaon.

The couple owns a stunning 500 square yard (500 ΰ€—ΰ€œ) flat, and we have the privilege of transforming their entire space with our turnkey interior solutions, starting with the heart of their home — the kitchen.

Design Intent & Client Vision

From our very first consultation with Miss Neelam Jain, it was clear that she envisioned a space that was both high on functionality and style — a kitchen that balances sophistication with durability. Mr. Shalinder Jain emphasized the importance of material quality and smart storage solutions to accommodate everyday family use while maintaining a seamless, modern look.

They wanted a sleek, maintenance-friendly, and timeless kitchen — and after several rounds of concept discussions and 3D presentations, we arrived at a design that ticked every box.

Acrylic Finish: A Touch of Timeless Elegance

One of the standout features of this kitchen is the use of high-gloss acrylic shutters. Known for their reflective sheen and premium finish, acrylic not only elevates the aesthetics but also provides excellent resistance to moisture, stains, and fading — making it an ideal material for a busy kitchen.

Why Acrylic?

  • Scratch-resistant and UV-stable

  • Easy to clean and maintain

  • Rich, glossy mirror-like surface

  • Long-lasting and non-toxic

The entire kitchen cabinetry, including the base units and tall storage, is finished in an elegant off-white acrylic, which enhances light reflection and gives the space a bright, airy feel.

Modular Design with Maximum Functionality

Our design includes:

  • L-shaped layout with an additional island counter for extra prep space and informal serving.

  • Soft-close drawers and cabinets for a noise-free, smooth experience.

  • Built-in hob and chimney unit centered on the main wall.

  • Vertical tall unit section with built-in microwave, oven, and pantry space.

  • Glass-front overhead cabinets with ambient LED lighting for a luxurious touch.

  • Designer backsplash using subtle beige subway tiles, complementing the glossy cabinet finish.

  • Patterned flooring that adds an interesting visual contrast to the clean cabinetry lines.

Lighting & Ambiance

Lighting plays a crucial role in this kitchen. We have used a combination of:

  • Under-cabinet LED strips for counter task lighting.

  • Warm ambient lights inside the glass cabinets to showcase crockery and enhance depth.

  • Ceiling spotlights with coffered ceiling panels to maintain uniform brightness.

This multi-layered lighting setup ensures the kitchen is as beautiful in the evening as it is during the day.

Appliance Integration

To keep the kitchen space clutter-free and efficient, we proposed:

  • Built-in Samsung side-by-side refrigerator

  • Concealed chimney and hob setup

  • Modular oven and microwave unit

  • Integrated sink and water purifier

All electrical points were carefully planned during the execution to allow seamless integration of all appliances and future adaptability.

Client Reaction & Outcome

Miss Neelam and Mr. Shalinder Jain were extremely pleased with the 3D visual presentation we provided before starting the on-site execution. The renders helped them visualize the design language and flow, and allowed for quick decision-making on finishes and color palette.
